Senior Discounts It's always good to know where to go to save some $$ but in our current economy it's almost essential. Here you can find out who gives discounts for seniors, what days, how much and how old you have to be to participate. If you know of any that aren't listed here please e-mail me at Betsy@Feedinmama.com and we'll add them to the list. We're all in this together, after all. And remember, it never hurts to just ask so get into the habit of asking about a senior discount wherever you spend your $$. A lot of places don't advertise them but will give a discount when asked.
Department Stores
- Bealls Florida 15% discount on “Senior
Days” which vary (check website for current dates www.beallsflorida.com ). Ages 50+
- Belk First Tuesday of the month. 15% discount. Ages 55+.
- Kohl’s 15% discount. Ages 62+. (My local store wasn't very helpful, all she could tell me was that I needed to call near the end of the month to find out when the senior discount day would be next month because it was 'random")
- Ross 10% off on Tuesdays for ages 55+ at participating locations. From their website -
The Every Tuesday Club is a program exclusively for customers 55 years of age or
older. Eligible customers are entitled to 10% off purchases made on Tuesday.
If you are eligible, you may sign up in store at Customer Service by providing an
ID with your age or date of birth. The store will issue you a Tuesday Club Discount
card.
Note: This discount is only good on Tuesday. (The card is non-transferable and the
card holder must be present to receive the discount.)
Entertainment
- Jacksonville Suns Baseball - Half price admission on Wednesday nights for Seniors 62+. Also one free hot dog OR soda and Baseball Bingo!
Restaurants
- Arby's - 10% off, ask cashier about discount
- Chik fil A - Drinks are on the house for seniors 55+ at Chik fil A. Includes coffee, tea and soft drinks
- Applebee's - Most have a senior discount program for those 60+, the Golden Apple Club, you can sign up for to get 15% off
- IHop - Most International House of Pancakes offer a 10% discount to seniors 55
and older off. There is also a senior menu with smaller portions
provided. Ask your local I.H.O.P for details.
- The Potter's House Soul Food Bistro - 30% off if you're 55 or older. The regular prices are already great and the food is awesome. It's the best deal around I think!
