Googled around this morning for a long-overdue devotional to help me keep focused as I enter my 4th year caring for my 96-yr-old mom. Found your site. Hope you can keep the devotionals coming. I need 'em, as I am about tapped out spiritually and emotionally and they speak directly to my experience! I'm marking this as a "favorite" and will check in often. Blessings, Katie

A. I'm so glad you found the site Katie, that's why I'm doing the devotional. I'll keep it going as long as it's helping someone, even if that someone is just me... but especially if it's helping another caregiver. Thanks for letting me know you found it! Betsy

I have been appointed conservator for an elderly friend. I pay her bills and found her an assisted living facility after having her in my home for three months earlier this year. I travel 100 miles round trip twice a month to check on her and see to her personal affairs. Can I be reimbursed for the expenses I incur?

A.Yes, Sue you sure can. The Florida Statute concerning reimbursement of guardian costs is here. Just be sure to keep accurate receipts and records for your protection.

This is an excellent idea. Often all we need is a place to vent and then we can resume our day to day responsibilities with a lighter heart.
